This afternoon my daughter and I were walking around downtown taking pictures of Southern Pines buildings for my walking tour and we started to get hungry. I never miss a chance to eat out and we rarely do Betsy’s Crepes for lunch, in fact it was my daughter’s first time at Betsy’s for lunch.
We went around 1:30 pm and for the first time ever going to Betsy’s there was no line! We got our pick of tables and went about ordering lunch. She got the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and I got the All Panini.

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich: This sandwich is made of fried chicken chicken breast tossed in buffalo sauce and has Swiss cheese on top. Surprisingly it comes served on a waffle. That was a nice twist and my daughter made an excellent suggestion for Betsy’s to do a chicken and waffle sandwich with maple syrup drizzled on top. She enjoyed her Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with crinkle cut fries, it was so big she couldn’t finish it all.

All Panini: The panini was more like a soft flat bread and gave the sandwich a nice texture. It is like a BLT with turkey and a nice basil pesto. It was the perfect meal for a beautiful spring day.
We would definitely recommend Betsy’s for lunch as well as breakfast!
